Vietnam’s Flavours Take Cocktail Form at Four Seasons The Nam Hai
September 07, 2026
At Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai in Hoi An, Vietnam’s culinary traditions are moving behind the bar for two nights this September. On September 12 and 13, 2026, Sol & Sao will host The Enigma Mansion, recognized by Asia’s 50 Best Bars, for an exclusive cocktail experience exploring the country’s regional ingredients, seasonal harvests and evolving mixology scene.
Under the theme “Two Cities, One Night,” the four-cocktail menu reinterprets familiar Vietnamese flavours through contemporary techniques. Strawberry combines whisky with strawberry whey, koji water, cacao wine and salted apricot; wintermelon pairs gin with cucumber, dill, pear, tonic and mezcal; beetroot brings together whisky, jasmine, Parmesan and tamarind; and a rice-inspired serve combines bourbon, red rice, butter, apple, miso vermouth and passionfruit seed bitters. The experience runs from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., offering resort guests an opportunity to discover a different side of Vietnam’s culinary culture without leaving the property.
The Curated Take: The most interesting luxury hotel experiences increasingly go beyond simply showcasing local ingredients. They give travelers a new way to understand them. Here, Vietnamese flavours that might be encountered in a market or kitchen are transformed through modern mixology, connecting regional culinary heritage with the country’s contemporary food and beverage scene. It is a small but compelling example of how a resort can make a destination feel more discoverable, even from behind its own bar.
