One of Curaçao’s best-known boutique resorts is getting bigger, but not by abandoning what made it intimate. Baoase is entering a new chapter as Baoase Curaçao, with 14 new accommodations scheduled to open in early 2027. The expansion will bring the resort’s total to 37 accommodations, incorporating contemporary design, updated technology and lessons drawn from nearly 15 years of welcoming guests, while maintaining the privacy, personalized service and intimate atmosphere that have defined the property.

The refined identity also puts Curaçao more prominently into the resort’s story. While Baoase’s aesthetic has long drawn inspiration from Bali, the resort says its evolution has been shaped just as much by the island and the local team behind the guest experience. The expansion follows a period of international recognition, including top resort honors from Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler readers.

The Curated Take

For a boutique luxury resort, expansion can be a delicate proposition. Baoase is positioning its growth as an enhancement rather than a transformation, adding inventory without moving away from the sense of privacy and personal attention that attracts travelers in the first place. The result could make Baoase Curaçao particularly interesting for travelers who want the amenities and polish of a larger luxury resort without giving up the character of a much smaller property.
