Orlando Gets the Local Celebrity Treatment in Tripadvisor’s New ‘Common Ground’ Series
September 11, 2026
Orlando is getting a fresh introduction through the people who know the city best. Visit Orlando and Tripadvisor have launched Common Ground, a new YouTube series that brings together Orlando-connected celebrities from sports, entertainment, food and the performing arts for unscripted conversations about the experiences that make the destination memorable. The three-part debut features Brazilian soccer legend Ricardo Kaká with Orlando Pride defender Rafaelle Souza, *NSYNC alum Joey Fatone with chef Richard Blais, and Broadway performer Michael James Scott with social media personalities the Valentine Brothers.
Each episode uses a different aspect of Orlando to explore a broader idea of connection. Sports takes center stage at the shared home of Orlando City SC and Orlando Pride, while the food episode moves from Universal Orlando Resort to Richard Blais’s Four Flamingos. The inclusivity-focused episode explores Orlando’s performing arts scene and the importance of creating more accessible experiences. The series is Tripadvisor’s first destination-focused content partnership of its kind with Visit Orlando, and viewers can also enter to win an eight-night Orlando vacation for two valued at $15,000.
The Curated Take
What makes Common Ground interesting is its decision to sell Orlando through personal connection rather than a checklist of attractions. By pairing people from very different corners of entertainment, sports and culture, the series shows how the same destination can mean something entirely different depending on who is experiencing it. For travelers, that makes Orlando feel less like a theme-park itinerary and more like a city with layers worth exploring.
