After 25 Years, SeaDream Yacht Club Sets Sail With a New Yacht and a Global Ambition
September 12, 2026
For the first time in 25 years, SeaDream Yacht Club is adding a new yacht to its fleet. SeaDream III will debut in July 2029 with approximately 200 guests and nearly as many crew, bringing the company’s intimate, highly personalized approach to a far broader collection of destinations. At 495 feet, the yacht will retain the open-air living, watersports marinas, relaxed dining and informal atmosphere associated with SeaDream’s existing fleet, while introducing more suites, expanded wellness facilities and additional space for longer journeys.
The yacht’s maiden season will begin in Asia, sailing from Hong Kong to Tokyo before continuing through Japan and South Korea. Over its first 24 months, SeaDream III is scheduled to visit six continents, 73 countries and 364 ports, eventually reaching Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, the Arctic, Greenland, Iceland, Canada and the Great Lakes, the Caribbean and Central America. In January 2031, the yacht will embark on an especially ambitious 180-night World Voyage from West Palm Beach to London, traveling through the Panama Canal and across the Pacific, Australia, Asia, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East and Mediterranean.
The Curated Take
SeaDream III marks a notable shift for a company whose appeal has always rested on doing small-ship cruising differently. Rather than using a larger vessel to pursue scale, SeaDream is maintaining a roughly one-to-one crew-to-guest ratio while using the new yacht to reach destinations that have historically been harder to experience by sea. For travelers drawn to yacht-style cruising, the more interesting story may be the combination of intimacy and global reach.
