Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle have appointed hospitality veteran Ivan Giles as General Manager, bringing more than two decades of international experience across luxury resorts in the Americas and Asia to the two Northern Thailand properties. Giles joins from Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, where he led the resort through a period of repositioning, villa enhancements and record business performance, including the distinction of two Michelin Keys.

A longtime Four Seasons leader, Giles began his career in Mexico before joining the company in Costa Rica in 2004, going on to hold leadership roles in destinations including Hawaii, the Maldives and Malaysia. His new role brings him to Chiang Mai’s rice fields and mountains, where he will oversee both properties and focus on deepening connections between guests, local communities and the region’s Lanna culture. He also takes the helm of the Tented Camp Golden Triangle, with its more adventurous, nature-focused approach to Northern Thailand.
