Bali Moto Adventures Maps a New Route to Komodo for 2027
September 15, 2026
Bali Moto Adventures is inviting tour operators and travel advisors to bring a more adventurous side of Indonesia to their clients through its 2027 BALI2KOMODO CHALLENGE, a fully supported, 12-day motorcycle expedition across four islands. The journey travels east from Bali through Lombok, Sumbawa and Flores, covering remote landscapes, island crossings and culturally rich destinations before reaching the Komodo region. Seven scheduled departures are planned between March and October 2027, with private departures also available for partner groups.
Designed as a trade-ready product, the expedition includes motorcycles, fuel, accommodations, meals, riding equipment, a guide, mechanic and the logistical support required to navigate Indonesia’s island geography. Travelers can choose among three itinerary levels, ranging from a more comfort-focused experience with five-star accommodations and private boat transfers to longer, more rugged routes emphasizing distance and overland exploration. The programme also offers partner support, including complimentary places for a first departure and options for private groups and potential country exclusivity.
The Curated Take
Indonesia is often experienced through a single island or resort, but the BALI2KOMODO CHALLENGE presents the archipelago as a connected, constantly changing journey. The appeal is not simply arriving in Komodo, but earning the destination through a sequence of roads, ferries, villages, coastlines and landscapes that reveal a more expansive sense of place. For travelers who see the journey itself as the destination, this is Indonesia at a different pace and from a different vantage point.
