Jacada Travel Expands Positive Impact Collection with 39 Purpose-Driven Experiences
September 20, 2026
Luxury travel specialist Jacada Travel has added 39 new experiences to its Positive Impact Collection, bringing together immersive encounters designed to benefit local communities, protect ecosystems, preserve cultural heritage and support wildlife conservation. Each experience has been assessed against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Jacada’s own Positive Impact Principles, with an emphasis on meaningful exchange rather than superficial sightseeing.
The new additions span five themes: upcycling and circular economies, female leadership and Indigenous stewardship, community-led wildlife protection, regenerative foodways, and the preservation of living mastercraft. Travelers can transform confiscated poaching snares into jewelry in Zambia and Zimbabwe, explore a women-led cacao ritual with Costa Rica’s BriBri community, visit Kenya’s Indigenous-owned Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, participate in marine conservation in Mozambique, forage for coastal ingredients in Ireland, or learn traditional weaving techniques in Japan. Other experiences include climate-smart farming in Zimbabwe, turtle hatchling releases in Vietnam, artisan workshops with disabled craftspeople in Tanzania, and tree planting in Bhutan.
The Curated Take
Jacada’s expanded collection reflects a more thoughtful direction for luxury travel, one in which access and comfort are paired with accountability. The most compelling experiences are those that allow travelers to see how conservation, cultural continuity and economic resilience are connected. Whether learning how discarded materials become valuable crafts or discovering how tourism can support former poachers and local women-led enterprises, these encounters offer a deeper understanding of place while directing attention and resources toward locally defined priorities.
