A Yacht-Sized Way to See the Caribbean This Winter
October 01, 2026
For travelers looking beyond the traditional Caribbean cruise this winter, SeaDream Yacht Club is offering a more intimate way to move through the region. Its 2026–27 season runs from late November through April 2027, with 112-guest SeaDream I and SeaDream II sailing from gateways including Palm Beach, San Juan and St. Thomas. Rather than concentrating on the Caribbean’s largest ports, itineraries weave through destinations including St. Barths, Jost van Dyke, Virgin Gorda, Bequia, St. Lucia and Îles des Saintes, along with smaller harbors and less-visited islands.
The yacht experience is designed to extend beyond the ship itself. Depending on the sailing, guests can snorkel and sail through the British Virgin Islands, explore Virgin Gorda’s Baths, hike in St. Lucia or spend a day discovering the beaches and villages of Îles des Saintes. Back onboard, SeaDream can lower its watersports Marina directly into the Caribbean for swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding, while select sailings feature the signature Champagne & Caviar Splash, an indulgent beachside experience. The appeal is less about seeing the Caribbean from a large ship and more about moving through it with the scale and flexibility of a private yacht: unpack once, wake somewhere new and spend the day exploring at a more intimate pace.
The Curated Take: The Caribbean is hardly short on cruise options, but SeaDream’s small-ship approach speaks to travelers who want the convenience of cruising without sacrificing a sense of place. With smaller harbors, yacht-level access to the water and time ashore across a mix of familiar and less-obvious islands, the experience offers a different lens on a region many travelers think they already know.
