Finnish Lapland is welcoming a new luxury base for experiencing its forests, frozen lakes and Arctic fells. Opening for its inaugural winter season in December 2026, Arcora Boutique Hotel & Villas is set in Torassieppi, Muonio, surrounded by the landscapes of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park and a region known for exceptionally clean air.

The property will feature 59 boutique suites and Sky and Deluxe Villas, along with a restaurant inspired by Lapland’s eight seasons, an artisan bakery, champagne bar, spa with traditional saunas, and rooftop and infinity pool. The most distinctive element, however, may be Arcora’s private “By Owner” experiences, hosted by one of the Pietikäinen brothers, the third generation of the family behind Arcora and Harriniva Hotels & Safaris. Guests can travel by snowmobile across frozen lakes and fells, visit a family-connected reindeer estate, meet huskies or explore Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park by snowshoe, with the experiences shaped by generations of local knowledge.

The Curated Take: Arcora’s strongest point of difference is its connection to the people behind the property. The “By Owner” experiences turn familiar Lapland activities into opportunities to encounter the region through a family that has been part of its tourism story for decades. That connection gives the new hotel a sense of place that goes beyond the increasingly familiar formula of luxury Arctic accommodation.
